This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to you, your authorised users, and any agent acting under your account — an action taken by an agent you configured is your action for the purposes of this policy.
1. Prohibited content and conduct#
You may not use the Service to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- store or transmit malware, or anything designed to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to a system;
- attempt to breach or circumvent security or authentication, access data you are not authorised to access, or probe another customer's tenancy;
- harass, defame, threaten, or exploit any person, or produce sexual content involving minors;
- send spam or unsolicited bulk communications, or violate anti-spam law (including CAN-SPAM, CASL, and the direct-marketing provisions of POPIA s69);
- misrepresent yourself, impersonate a person or organisation, or send email from a domain you do not control;
- generate or distribute material intended to deceive about its origin — including synthetic audio, image, or video of a real person without their consent;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service, or use it to build a competing product;
- circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or quotas, including by creating multiple accounts.
2. Data you must not put in#
Do not submit, without first agreeing additional written terms with us:
- special category data under GDPR Art. 9 or special personal information under POPIA s26 — health, biometric, genetic, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade union membership, sex life, or criminal behaviour;
- children's personal information (POPIA s34) or data from anyone under 16;
- payment card numbers, full bank credentials, or other data subject to PCI DSS;
- protected health information subject to HIPAA;
- government-classified or export-controlled material.
The Service is not built or certified for these categories. This is a limit on what we can responsibly hold, not a formality.
3. Agent-specific rules#
Because the Service can act, not just answer:
- Do not point an agent at a third-party service in breach of that service's terms — including automated scraping or bulk actions a platform prohibits.
- Do not use agent capabilities for high-risk automated decision-making about individuals — credit, employment, housing, insurance, education, or legal outcomes — without meaningful human review. Several of the laws that apply to you give individuals a right not to be subject to solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
- Do not disable or work around the confirmation, verification, and audit controls we provide.
- Keep connector scopes minimal. Granting an agent broader access than a task needs is a risk you are creating for your own data.
4. Fair use of compute#
The Service includes AI processing subject to plan limits. Do not resell raw model access, use the Service as a general-purpose inference proxy, or run sustained automated load unrelated to your own business operations.
5. Security research#
We welcome good-faith security research. Report findings to security@sloelabs.com. We will not pursue legal action against research that respects user privacy, avoids service degradation or data destruction, uses only accounts you control or have permission to test, and gives us reasonable time to remediate before disclosure. Do not access another customer's data — if you can, stop and tell us.
6. Enforcement#
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access. Except where the violation is causing active harm, is illegal, or the law forbids notice, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to cure.
Report abuse to security@sloelabs.com.
7. Changes#
We may update this policy; material changes take effect 30 days after notice.
